Lissi joins Michael on his show to talk about playing the role of Deena Jones at the Savoy theatre in London in Dreamgirls and her E.P Golden. Tune in from 2pm on 18th June.
Liisi is thrilled to make her West End debut at The Savoy Theatre in DREAMGIRLS ! She feels honoured to be working alongside the cast and creative team launching this classic show.
Liisi attended the prestigious Los Angeles County High School for the Arts and The Berklee College of Music in Boston. Theatre credits include Ti’Moune in Once on this Island (LACHSA production), Mimi in Rent (Skylight Theater), Trisha in Dogs Sees God (Skylight Theater) and Deena (understudy/ensemble) in Dreamgirls (Regional/Japan tour).
She was a member of the LACHSA Vocal Jazz and was selected a semi-finalist for the Spotlight Awards in 2013. She was selected a Young Arts Winner in pop vocals out of 10,000 entries.
Liisi was also a finalist on NBC’s The Winner Is in 2014, as part of a singing duo with her mom, The LaFontaines. She was selected to perform as a vocalist at The Kennedy Center in Washington DC at the American Festival of Voices, and was guest soloist at a Round Table for the Arts at the Sundance Film Festival.
She recently completed her first EP titled “Golden”, available on iTunes. Liisi is represented by Endorse Management Group and TalentWorks in LA and NY.
Liisi dedicates her work and performances to her late father, voice over legend Don LaFontaine.
